Why is it important for SWP to still produce its machines in the Netherlands?

Antonio Chozas (A): For us, it is not about where something is made. It is about keeping the knowledge close to the people who design, build, test and improve the equipment. When production is nearby, we can walk into the workshop, look at a detail together and make decisions quickly.

SILICON (Q): How does having production, engineering and assembly under one roof benefit customers?

Antonio Chozas (A): Workshop experience, engineering knowledge and field insights help strengthen the service. There is no long chain of communication, so we can check what is possible, make adjustments and test them faster. For customers, that means quicker answers and more confidence in the service
they are getting.

SILICON (Q): What happens before a welding machine is sent to a customer’s site?

Basel Abu-Eisheh (B): Before deployment, each machine is maintained, checked and tested to make sure it is ready for the conditions on site. With equipment strategically located in the Netherlands, the USA, Canada, Japan and Saudi Arabia, and supported by a network of regional partners, we can mobilize faster and keep machines closer to where they are needed.

SILICON (Q): After seeing our machines used in so many different industries and environments, what makes equipment perform reliably on site?

Basel Abu-Eisheh (B): Reliable performance starts with well-maintained equipment and experienced operators who know how to use it correctly. Clear setup, proper handling and quick troubleshooting on site help the machine run as expected. If an issue does occur during a project, we are available to support the team on site and recommend the best way to handle it.

SILICON (Q): What is the most common mistake you see when equipment is used on site, and what advice would you give customers to avoid it?

Basel Abu-Eisheh (B): The most common issue is insufficient or incorrect power supply. We communicate the requirements in advance, but they can still be missed or not fully matched during site installation. Having experienced supervisors on site helps customers avoid this by checking the setup and making sure the machine is installed correctly from the start.

SILICON (Q): What's the most challenging request you've ever received from a customer who needed equipment at very short notice, and how did the team make it happen?

Basel Abu-Eisheh (B): The biggest challenge is speed: preparing and delivering equipment quickly enough to keep the customer’s work moving. We aren’t strangers to emergency response, and the team is always willing to go the extra mile when a customer needs support at short notice. In urgent cases, we have prepared and dispatched machines within the same day.
