SILICON is looking for an assembly employee who wants to develop themself in the welding services industry. In this department you will assemble the RAW welding equipment which will be used in installation projects all over the world!
As a metal fabrication company founded in 1982, SILICON has since developed into an international product leader in refractory stainless-steel fastening and anchoring systems and of highly specialized welding machines as well. With roughly 90 employees, SILICON designs, produces and innovates high quality products and services for the petrochemical, chemical, kiln construction and shipbuilding industry.
As an Assembly Employee, you’ll work hands-on with our welding equipment, machines, and components. You’ll assemble everything, test it, troubleshoot any issues, and make sure everything works as it should.
You’ll also have a say in how we do things. If you see a better or smarter way to assemble something, we want to hear your ideas. You’ll be part of the Stud Welding Products (SWP) team, which consists of seven colleagues.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Building welding machines, welding guns, cables and other equipment
from individual parts and sub-assemblies.
Testing equipment, identifying faults, and fixing issues when something doesn’t work as it should.
Carrying out maintenance and repairs to keep our equipment running properly.
Working with technical drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
Checking your own work and making sure the equipment meets our quality standards.
Recording what you’ve built, checked or repaired in our production and quality systems.
Help improve assembly methods, tools and processes.
Keeping your workplace clean, organized and safe.

We’re looking for someone who has eye for details and is comfortable using different tool.
Additionally, the ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
MBO-level education, preferably in a technical field.
Experience in production, assembly, manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings and assembly instructions.
Good communication skills and a solid command of English.
A practical and hands-on approach, with an eye for detail and quality.
VCA and forklift certification are a plus; obtaining these certificates is also possible.
Affinity with tools, machinery and technical equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot when something doesn't go as planned.
