Technical Procurement Officer

What are your responsibilities?

You are responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, which includes the following:

  • Technical Procurement: Coordinating all phases of centralized purchasing (proposals, purchase orders, and contracts) of different technical materials and components.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for technical materials/products/components and Implement sourcing strategies and KPI’s regarding balancing cost, quality, delivery, and innovation

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage budgets, forecasts, and procurement working with various internal stakeholders using strong communication & Interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor the Supply chain employees, fostering capability growth.

  • Contracts Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, frame agreements for technical goods, materials, and services with favorable terms and evaluate them.

  • Supplier management: Conduct market research, supplier evaluation, and financial analysis based on capability, cost, quality, and sustainability.

  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage risks related to supply, including legal, financial and compliance risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Cost Optimization: Reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through economies of scale, stock optimization and spend optimization.

What are your qualities?

We’re looking for a Technical Procurement Officer with a strong affinity with metallurgy and the following qualifications:

  • You bring at least 5 years of experience in technical procurement, so you know how to navigate supplier relationships, contracts, and sourcing strategies.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

  • You have a strong technical understanding of materials and metal components, allowing you to make informed, confident decisions.

  • You’re a natural negotiator, able to secure agreements that balance cost, quality, and long-term value.

  • You think analytically and enjoy finding smarter, more efficient ways to do cost optimization, market research, or to create data-driven insights.

  • You communicate clearly and confidently, and can collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • You’re fluent in English, both written and spoken, so you can operate seamlessly in our international environment.
