We’re looking for a Technical Procurement Officer to strengthen our Supply Chain team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations and responsible for building supplier relationships, negotiating smart deals, and ensuring we have the best technical materials and components to keep production running smoothly.
You’ll have the freedom to bring your expertise to the table, make impactful decisions, and collaborate with colleagues from engineering, finance, and logistics to make things happen.

With a dedicated workforce of approximately 85 talented professionals, SILICON is renowned for delivering top-quality products and services to the petrochemical, chemical, cement, construction, and shipbuilding industries worldwide.
As our Technical Procurement Officer, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process. You will spend your time coordinating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams, while also being accountable for the following:
Developing and executing procurement strategies for technical materials, products, and components.
Evaluating, selecting, and managing suppliers based on quality, cost, capability, and sustainability.
Leading contract negotiations and establishing long-term supplier partnerships.
Collaborating with finance, engineering, logistics, and project teams to align procurement strategies.
Supporting new product development and capital projects through supplier engagement.
Mentoring and guiding junior procurement staff.
Monitoring and mitigating supply chain risks, ensuring compliance with legal and internal policies.
Optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO) through strategic sourcing, stock management, and spend optimization.
We’re looking for a strong commercial mindset and the following qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a technical or commercial background.
5+ years of experience in a technical procurement role.
Strong technical understanding of materials and metal components.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable contract terms.
Analytical mindset with experience in market research, financial analysis, and cost optimization.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written, at a business level.
