In the summer of 2022, an expert team of 25 RAW crew members embarked on a critical mission to the United Arab Emirates. Their task? To execute an urgent 100-square-meter repair at the world’s fourth-largest oil refinery, home to the most extensive RFCCU unit globally.
A leading world energy producer partnered with us for this emergency because of our successful performance earlier in that year.
The refinery’s units suffered heavy refractory spalling and damage due to the failure of the hex mesh application. To restore the units to full capacity, SpeedHex® 3 was chosen as it is the only solution that can be installed in the blink of an eye.

In just 11 days, our team installed 89,500 SpeedHex® 3 anchors, ensuring the repair units were operational on time. SpeedHex® 3, along with SpeedHex® Mini and SpeedTab®, were the heroes of this project, performing tasks beyond the capabilities of other solutions.
To manage the installation of this many anchors, 10 D20 machines were dispatched. The installation crew consisted of 1 RAW Project Manager, 1 RAW Senior Supervisor, 5 RAW Operating Supervisors, 16 RAW Operators, and 2 Project Administrators.
