Why RAW drawn arc stud welding?

SILICON Rapid Arc Welding (RAW) is an innovative drawn arc stud welding process. It is a fast and reliable way to install refractory anchors during demanding project schedules. RAW uses purpose-built drawn arc stud welding gun designed specifically for refractory anchor installation, helping achieve consistent weld quality, full-section fusion and high installation rates.

Each weld takes only a fraction of a second, which makes this drawn arc welding process ideal for large surfaces and tight turnaround schedules. This RAW drawn arc welding process, compared with manual welding, delivers consistent quality, full-section fusion and much higher installation speed.

In Need of Refractory Anchors?

We manufacture refractory anchors in-house in both the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia and support customers through offices in the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Japan.

Together with our international network of partners, we support projects across Europe, the Middle East and beyond, combining local responsiveness with global reach. This allows us to maintain consistent quality, production control and delivery reliability.

In-house Engineering

Engineering forms the starting point of many projects. SILICON's engineering team works closely with customers to develop refractory anchoring solutions tailored to specific operating conditions and installation requirements. This allows us to support projects from the design stage through to final execution.

Turnaround Supervision

Your turnaround maintenance is managed by the dedicated Projects department. This team coordinates all aspects of the installation process. It mobilizes globally available installation team, drawn arc stud welding equipment, and refractory anchors.

Thanks to the flexible installation teams and rapid mobilization capabilities, SILICON can support both planned and emergency turnarounds, with response time of 24 to 48 hours.

What sets SILICON apart is the combination of manufacturing, equipment, project management and installation expertise within one organisation. By bringing these activities together, customers can work with a single partner throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and anchor production to on-site installation.
