SILICON supplies different anchoring systems for single component linings for low density and high density linings.

C-01 Split Y System (Simple Anchoring System)

The Split ‘Y’ anchoring system is one of the most common anchoring systems which is still widely used because of its cost-effectiveness and availability. SILICON has modified certain of these refractory anchors to help improve its holding power.

C-02 Simple V Anchor System

The standard ‘V’ refractory anchoring system is a simple system used for light to very dense refractories. For thermal shock applications it is highly recommended that stainless steel fibers such as C-Mix are added to reinforce the refractory material.

C-03 Corrugated Bullhorn (3D Corrugated Anchor)

The Corrugated Bullhorn is a corrugated refractory anchor for light and medium density refractories. Typical applications for these anchors can be found in the cement industry and ferrous and non-ferrous metal industries.

C-04 Heavy Corrugated Bullhorn (3D Corrugated Anchor)

The heavy corrugated bullhorn is used for very high density refractories. This highly effective refractory anchor is only suited for hand welding.

C-05 Corrugated H Anchors

The Corrugated ‘H’ refractory anchors are specifically designed for hand welding and can be used in light, medium and dense refractories.

C-06 Y Anchor (Flat Sectioned)

The tined ‘Y’ anchor is a flat sectioned refractory anchor for many different applications, mostly light to medium refractories.

The tined ‘E’ anchor is a flat sectioned refractory anchor for many different applications, mostly light to medium refractories.

C-08 Corrugated V Strip (Flat Sectioned-Heavy)

The corrugated ‘V’ Strip is a flat sectioned heavy type of refractory anchor. This anchor can only be hand welded or bolted down.

C-09 Corrugated V (Round Sectioned)

The corrugated ‘V’ anchor is a round sectioned and Rapid Arc Weldable refractory anchor offering excellent properties due to its 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional characteristics.

C-10 TW Anchor (multipurpose)

The TW anchor is a multipurpose refractory anchor for all types of refractories. It’s suitable for hand welding or bolting to the steel casing and is also ideal for use as a ‘moveable’ anchor in rotary kilns and for general medium to heavy weight refractories.

C-11 SpeedBolt® & Moveable Anchors

Moveable anchors are mainly used in rotary kilns where more stress occurs due to refractory movement. These anchors are fixed (e.g. by tack welding) during installation, but become ‘free’ during operation.

C-12 SpeedCell® System

The refractory anchors in this serie are designed for use in Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) installations. SpeedCells® are an easily applicable single-cell system with extremely high resistance to thermal shock and is an ideal alternative to hex metal.

C-13 Corrugated Y – ECO Vin Anchors

The CYA and CYS refractory anchors are designed for thin refractory linings and can both be installed with Rapid Arc Welding.

C-14 Shear Connectors

Shear Connectors are also used to support refractory ceramic tiles in a number of refuse incinerators where it offers a good alternative to protect the pipe walls of the furnace compared to shot-created linings onto standard refractory anchors or boiler studs with rammed refractory masses.

C-15 Round Y Anchor System

Round ‘Y’ anchors were designed to allow prefabricated panels to be transported overseas with a minimum volume with only the nuts welded to the shell casing.

C-16 Y Strip Corrugated

The YSMR refractory anchor was specially designed to Rapid Arc Weld onto boiler pipe walls but has found its application in many other areas.
